Aluminium bifold doors
Fold the whole wall away. In or out, in any configuration that suits the opening.
About aluminium bifold doors
Bifolds can be folded either internally or externally and come in a range of opening configurations, so the doors stack where you actually want them rather than where the system dictates. Closed, they read as a sleek glazed facade; open, they take the wall away completely.
The folding gear is what separates a good bifold from a bad one. Ours are PAS24-compliant kitemarked and security tested, and the running gear is built to keep moving smoothly for years rather than dragging after a couple of winters.
Bifolds, open and closed
The whole point is the opening — here is what that looks like from the inside.

Configurations
How the leaves stack, and which way they fold, is set out at the survey. A traffic door is a single leaf you can open on its own without folding the whole run back.

Integral blinds
Blinds sealed between the glass are the neatest way to get privacy and shade without anything hanging in front of the window. The blind sits inside the double glazed unit itself, so there is nothing to dust, nothing to catch, and no cords for children to reach.
Because the blind is sealed inside the glass, the only thing fitted to the window is the control — a slider on the frame, or a cord or winder. Those come in a range of finishes to match the window.
Integral blinds can be fitted to all our UPVC window styles — casement, flush casement, tilt & turn and sliding sash — as well as to bifold, patio and French doors, where a conventional blind gets in the way every time the door opens.
Common questions
How long does it take to fit a front door?
Normally we take the old door out and fit the new one the same day. We'd confirm that at the survey so there are no surprises.
How long does it take to fit bifold doors?
If the bifolds are replacing French or sliding doors in the same size opening, that's usually a single day. The survey will confirm what's involved and you'll get an accurate timescale from it.
How secure are your doors?
All our doors come with either Yale or Ultion locks, with guarantees against break-in attacks on the property. Many of our products are Secured by Design accredited — the official UK police initiative for designing out crime.
What happens to my old door?
We remove it and take it away, to recycling where possible and disposed of properly where not.
Will I need planning permission?
Not usually, unless the building is listed. If you're in a conservation area or other designated area, check with your local planning authority before ordering.
What guarantees do you offer?
All our windows and doors come with a comprehensive 10-year insurance-backed guarantee, so the cover outlasts the invoice. Roofing and building work carries its own guarantee, and ProPERLA coatings come with a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee on top of ours.
Do you really do all of this yourselves?
Yes. Windows, doors, roofing, building work, electrics and coatings are all our own teams. That's the point of the business — one contract and one point of contact, rather than you co-ordinating five firms and absorbing the gaps between them.
How long does a full house of windows take?
It depends on the number and style, but as a rule a whole house of eight to ten windows is fitted in one to two days. We survey first and manufacture every frame to the exact size of the opening, which keeps time on site down.
