The old conservatory taken down and a brick-built room put up in its place — gable end in full-height glass, black aluminium sliding doors, solid tiled roof, and brickwork matched to the house.

The whole main roof stripped off and replaced — new breathable membrane, treated battens and a new covering, with every ridge, verge and flashing renewed and the lot left weather-tight.

Two tired patio door sets taken out and replaced with black uPVC French doors — one with a fixed side frame, one with fixed frames both sides, both A-rated and internally beaded.

Bespoke solid hardwood entrance gate
The old gate had rotted through. Its replacement was made from scratch in solid hardwood to the shape of the existing stone opening, hung on heavy-duty ironmongery and finished to stand up to the weather.

Cracks and defective areas treated, localised masonry and render repairs, architectural details put back as they were, then the whole house redecorated outside.

Icotherm roof, new gable window and bifolds
The old polycarbonate roof taken off and replaced with a lightweight tiled Icotherm system, a new gable window built into the front, and three-pane bifolds onto the decking — plus the structural work, plastering and lighting to finish it.
