Home improvements
The jobs that finish a house off — guttering, fencing, decorating, flooring, landscaping and heating.
What we do
Not every job is a big one. A lot of what we do is the work that makes a house feel looked after: new fascias and guttering, a fence that stands up to a Merseyside winter, a room decorated properly, floors laid level.
Because we're already on site for the bigger work, these tend to get picked up at the same time rather than becoming another job you have to arrange.

Acorn Home was started with one aim: a professional job, with good products, at the best price we can honestly do it for.
One firm, start to finish
Windows, roof, electrics and making good — all our own teams. One contract, one point of contact, nobody blaming the last trade.
40 years of it
Four decades supplying and installing across Merseyside. Fully qualified installers, not subbies picked up for the week.
10-year guarantee
A full insurance-backed guarantee covering every product we install, so the cover outlasts the invoice.
A price, not a pitch
We quote what the job costs and leave you to think about it. No discount that expires tonight.

What guarantees do you offer?
All our windows and doors come with a comprehensive 10-year insurance-backed guarantee, so the cover outlasts the invoice. Roofing and building work carries its own guarantee, and ProPERLA coatings come with a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee on top of ours.
How long does replacing fascias, soffits and guttering take?
Usually one to two days, and the price includes the scaffolding and the materials. The old timber is taken away with us.
What experience does your decorating team have?
More than 30 years between them, inside and out, including wallpapering. The preparation is where most of the time goes, and it's the part that decides how it looks in two years.
Is your plumbing and heating team Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Any work on gas appliances is done by Gas Safe registered engineers, which is a legal requirement — always worth checking with anyone who quotes you.
What flooring do you install?
LVT, vinyl, laminate, solid and engineered wood, and tiling. Whatever goes down, the subfloor is prepared first.
What's the best material for fencing?
Composite, if the budget runs to it — you don't have to treat it every year and it lasts a long time. Timber panel fencing is still a perfectly good option and costs less up front.
While we’re there
Because it's all one firm, these tend to get done on the same visit rather than becoming another job to arrange.
