This policy explains what we do with the information you give us. Acorn Home is a trading style of Acorn Plastics Ltd, and we are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect

When you fill in our enquiry form or email us, we collect your name, phone number, email address, postcode and whatever you tell us about the job. When you ring, we take the same details by hand.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey, prepare a quotation and — if you go ahead — carry out and guarantee the work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest for responding to enquiries, and contract for work we carry out.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't proceed are kept for up to two years. Records for completed work are kept for the length of the guarantee plus six years, because we may need them to honour it.

Who we share it with

Only where necessary to do the job: manufacturers and suppliers for ordering, and our own installers. We do not sell your details to anyone, and we do not pass them to third parties for marketing.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email info@acornhome.co.uk and we'll deal with it within a month. If you're unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Photographs

We sometimes photograph completed work for our website. We ask before publishing anything that identifies a property, and we crop to the work rather than the house where we can.
