About renotec roof coating
A tired roof is not always a failed roof. Concrete tiles in particular go porous and dirty long before they go structurally bad, and at that point they look far worse than they are.
RENOTEC is a two-coat super-hydrophobic coloured roof coating from ProPERLA's sister brand. The roof is cleaned down first, any broken tiles are replaced and the ridges are checked, and then the coating goes on. It improves resistance to weather and extends the life of the tiles.
It comes with 25-year proven performance and a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee — and it costs a fraction of a re-roof. Where the tiles genuinely are past it, we will tell you that instead and quote you for re-roofing.
Common questions
Is coating a roof as good as re-roofing?
It's a different job. Coating is right where the tiles are sound but porous and dirty. Where they're genuinely failing, or the battens and felt have gone, a re-roof is the honest answer and we'll say so.
Will it stop moss coming back?
It gives moss and algae far less to grow on, because the surface repels water instead of holding it. Nothing outdoors stays pristine forever, but it stays clean a great deal longer.
What colours does it come in?
A range of tile colours — the aim is usually to bring the roof back to something close to how it looked new.
What guarantees do you offer?
All our windows and doors come with a comprehensive 10-year insurance-backed guarantee, so the cover outlasts the invoice. Roofing and building work carries its own guarantee, and ProPERLA coatings come with a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee on top of ours.
