About paving & stone impregnator
Block paving and slabs are porous. They take up water, and with the water comes everything that was dissolved in it — which is why a drive goes green on the shaded side and why an oil drip becomes a permanent feature.
The paving impregnator is a one-coat super-hydrophobic clear treatment for mineral surfaces: concrete slabs, paving stones, block paving, terraces and similar. The surface is cleaned and re-sanded first, then sealed.
After that, water beads instead of soaking in, the colour stays closer to how it looked when it was laid, and a jet wash does in ten minutes what used to take an afternoon. It comes with a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee.
Common questions
Will it make the paving shiny?
No. It's an impregnator, not a wet-look sealer — it goes into the surface rather than lying on top of it, so the finish stays natural.
Does the drive need cleaning first?
Yes, and re-sanding. Sealing dirt in is worse than not sealing at all, so the preparation is most of the job.
Will it stop weeds between the blocks?
It helps a great deal, because the joints are re-sanded with kiln-dried sand and the surface holds far less water and dirt for seeds to germinate in.
