Landscaping

Levels, turf, planting, sleepers and steps — with the drainage thought about first.

About landscaping

Most garden problems are level problems. Water sits where the ground falls towards the house, a lawn stays boggy because there is clay eighteen inches down, a patio feels awkward because it is a step out and a step down at once.

So landscaping starts with the levels and the drainage, then the hard surfaces, then the planting. Doing it the other way round is how gardens end up being redone.

Because we are usually on site anyway for the building or the glazing, the garden tends to get picked up on the same contract rather than becoming a separate job you have to arrange.

FAQs

Common questions

Can you fix a garden that floods?

Usually. It's normally a levels and drainage problem rather than a soil problem, and both are fixable. We'd want to see it after rain if we can.

Do you do the paving as well?

Yes — patios, paths and drives are the same team, so the levels tie together instead of meeting awkwardly.

What guarantees do you offer?

All our windows and doors come with a comprehensive 10-year insurance-backed guarantee, so the cover outlasts the invoice. Roofing and building work carries its own guarantee, and ProPERLA coatings come with a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee on top of ours.
