Wood impregnator
A clear, one-coat treatment for timber cladding, fencing and decking.
About wood impregnator
Timber outdoors fails because it keeps getting wet and drying out. The movement opens the grain, the open grain holds more water, and eventually the surface goes grey and soft.
The wood impregnator is a one-coat super-hydrophobic clear treatment that stops the timber taking up water in the first place. It does not form a film that can peel, and it does not change the colour, so cladding and decking keep their own character.
It carries proven 25-year performance and a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee — considerably longer than the annual re-treating most timber gets.
Common questions
Will it change the colour of the wood?
No. It's a clear treatment that soaks in, so the timber keeps its own colour and grain.
Can it go on decking?
Yes — decking, cladding, fencing and garden timber. Decking in particular benefits, because it takes the most water.
Do I still need to treat the timber every year?
That's rather the point of it. The treatment carries proven 25-year performance, which is a very different proposition from an annual coat of stain.
What guarantees do you offer?
All our windows and doors come with a comprehensive 10-year insurance-backed guarantee, so the cover outlasts the invoice. Roofing and building work carries its own guarantee, and ProPERLA coatings come with a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee on top of ours.
